Food Fantasies and Food Identity are two related projects which examine food in contemporary visual culture in relation to identity. The projects explore themes such as food choice as informed by our time/space coordinates and cultural identity, and food as an evolving representation of projected ideological identity.

Multiple images from these projects were long-listed and shortlisted for the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year Awards in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Two images reached the finals in their category and were exhibited at the Mall Galleries, London and other locations as part of the Awards Exhibition programme.

These projects form part of a wider body of research and practice conducted as part of an MA in Photography. You can read about the research/practice in more depth here.
